Promoting cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Chungcheongbuk province for mutual interest

At the meeting, Mr. Hoan said that over the years, the Vietnam - RoK relationship has developed strongly, especially in 2022 as the two countries upgraded their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership, creating new opportunities to promote cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Korean localities.

On the basis of the good relationship between the two countries as well as the existing relationship of Ho Chi Minh City with Korean localities, he added that Ho Chi Minh City is willing to further promote the cooperative relationship with Chungcheongbuk province in fields of mutual interest and potential areas such as high technology, semiconductor production and green agriculture. In the coming time, the two localities need to strengthen exchanges to build a mechanism for coordination and promotion in potential fields and to sign a friendly cooperation agreement between the two localities.

Mr. Kim Myung Kyoo shared his impression of the strong and dynamic development of Ho Chi Minh City as well as the friendliness and hospitality of the city's people. He expressed his desire to further strengthen the cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City in many fields with the hope that the initial cooperation, although small but effective, will lead to strong cooperation in the future.

Sharing the potential and position of Chungcheongbuk-do, he said that, with strengths in semiconductor manufacturing and biotechnology research, businesses in Chungcheongbuk-do hope to set up concrete cooperation to contribute to the overall development of Ho Chi Minh City. Chungcheongbuk-do province is ready to cooperate with Ho Chi Minh City to study and implement cooperation activities in all fields of mutual interest and soon sign a friendship cooperation agreement with Ho Chi Minh City./.
