Tra Vinh University promotes cooperation in training Cambodian students

Leaders of Tra Vinh University said that they had just had a meeting with leaders of the Department of Education and the Department of Health of Svay Rieng Province (Cambodia) and more than 20 principals of high schools in the province on the enrollment of graduate and post-graduate students.

Accordingly, the delegation of Tra Vinh University led by Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung came to Cambodia to exchange cooperation in student enrollment and introduce the school's training disciplines and information about the situation of Cambodian students studying at Tra Vinh University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung said that over the years, the university had always done a good job of training high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region and the whole country. “With the aspiration to reach the international level and provide a labor force to meet the trend of international integration, Tra Vinh University has constantly improved the quality of its training by passing the international education quality accreditation,” he said.

Currently, with 12 training programs that have passed the international accreditation of FIBAA and AUN, and a program of Information Technology that has completed ABET accreditation, Tra Vinh University is leading the Mekong Delta region in the number of programs that have been internationally accredited.

Mr. Kong Sam Oeun, Principal of Romeas Hek High School, Svay Rieng Province, highly appreciated the quality of medical training of the Tra Vinh University, saying that graduates of the university are highly skilled, meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of the people.

Currently, more than 10 former graduates of Tra Vinh University are working in the health system of Svay Rieng Province, receiving positive feedback from the people and leaders of the Provincial Department of Health. This shows that the quality of training of the school, especially the medical field, has very well met the labor needs of Svay Rieng Province in particular and Cambodia in general.

Mr. Sann Neang, Representative of Svay Rieng Department of Education and Training, expressed his belief that Tra Vinh University will continue to expand training cooperation and enrollment in Cambodia. “The Department always supports and is ready to create the best conditions for Tra Vinh University to connect and enroll high schools’ students in Svay Rieng Province,” he said.

During the working trip, the delegation from Tra Vinh Province participated in a discussion about a Vietnamese education exhibition within the framework of Vietnam Culture Week in Cambodia taking place in Phnom Penh on August 10-11and met with partners to implement international cooperation activities in the fields of scientific research, educational development and international enrollment./.
