Vietnam Expo 2017 to take place in Myanmar

Commercial Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar Vo Thi Ngoc Diep recently spoke at a press conference that Vietnam Expo 2017 would continue to be the biggest annual trade event of Vietnam in Myanmar.

With the theme "Proud to be Vietnamese", this expo will attract more than 60 leading Vietnamese manufacturers to display their goods at over 110 booths. The manufacturers have also committed that they would introduce their best goods at the most appropriate prices.

The expo this year will focus on main categories, including food and beverages (fruit juice, tea, milk, confectionery, etc.); consumer goods (blankets, cushions, household electrical appliances, kitchen appliances, etc.); construction materials, equipment, and machinery (paint, construction chemicals, cables, electrical appliances, etc.); and pharmaceutical products & cosmetics (medicines, perfumes, etc.).

According to Mr. Myo Thant, Secretary General of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), the Vietnam Expo 2017 in Myanmar would not only be an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to introduce their quality products to businesses and consumers of Myanmar, but also a reliable address for the business community of Myanmar to connect with a reliable providing source, both in terms of commodity exchange and investment capital.

Vietnam Expo in Myanmar was held for the first time in 2009. The eight events held so far have made an important contribution to promotion of economic cooperation between the two countries and are a lively manifestation for the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Myanmar./.
