Summer camp for young Overseas Vietnamese and Ho Chi Minh city youth held

The Summer camp for young Overseas Vietnamese and Ho Chi Minh city youth 2018, themed “Proud of homeland sea and islands”, was opened by the Ho Chi Minh city's Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and Youth Union on July 23rd.

The annual event lured 60 young overseas Vietnamese from Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, the US, Germany, Russia, Poland, Ukraine and Canada.
Phung Cong Dung, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, said that the summer camp is a precious opportunity to help overseas Vietnamese share their feelings and connect with others as well.
Taking place from July 23rd-26th, the participants are projected to visit and present gifts to children at Go Vap Orphanage, participate in a cooking class at Saigontourist Hospitality College, visit Vietnamese Dream Nursery Garden by Dr. Nguyen Tri Dung, an overseas Vietnamese from Japan, visit the Institute of Oceanography in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, and exchange with officials and soldiers from Submarine Brigade 189./.
