Vietnam joins 2018 embassy festival in Netherlands

The festival attracted more than 100 embassies, tourism and cuisine businesses, professional and amateur artists from many countries.

Vietnam introduced traditional and new dishes, and promoted tourism and handicraft products, and folk games for children.  

The ASEAN cultural cuisine area, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, created a strong impression of the cohesion and solidarity of ASEAN. Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Thi Hoa and ASEAN ambassadors visited and encouraged activities of kiosks promoting ASEAN images.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Mayor of La Hague City Saskia Bruines emphasized that the embassy festival is the place to honor the integration of cultures in the world and affirming that La Hague is always a city for peace, a common house of embassies and international organizations.

According to the organizing board, the embassy festival 2017 reached 50,000 visitors and became the highlight of the city of La Hague./.
