Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Coordinating Committee in Laos established

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha announced a decision and debuted the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Coordinating Committee in Laos at Phat Tich Pagoda in Vientiane on November 11th.

Speaking at the event, Venerable Maha Veth Masenai handed over the decision on the establishment for Venerable Thich Minh Quang, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Coordinating Committee in Laos.

At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Minh Quang thanked the Buddhist Sanghas of Vietnam and Laos, and the two states of Vietnam and Laos for helping and creating conditions for the establishment of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Coordinating Committee in Laos. The establishment helps strengthen the close cooperation between the two Buddhist Sanghas, as well as preserve and foster the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

He stressed that the committee will create solidarity and a common voice for Vietnamese monks, nuns and Buddhists in Laos, meeting the spiritual demand of the overseas Vietnamese community.

Venerable Thich Minh Quang said that the event was a great event, marking the development and role of the Vietnam Buddhism in the overseas Vietnamese community in Laos, to the great pleasure of the Vietnamese Buddhists in Laos./.
