ABRAVIET and Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil to implement practical activities

Vietnamese Ambassador Bui Van Nghi recently received Mr. Pedro Da Oliveira, Secretary General of the Brazil - Vietnam Friendship Association (ABRAVIET), at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil, who greeted and congratulated the Ambassador and his spouse for receiving his working term in Brazil (2023-2026).

The two sides discussed key issues in the work plan and expected cooperation between the Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil, ABRAVIET and Brazilian friends in the coming time, especially in 2024.
Ambassador Nghi acknowledged and appreciated the affection and contributions of Secretary General Oliveira as well as ABRAVIET to Vietnam over the past time. During his term, the Ambassador hopes to continue to receive Brazilian friends’ attention, cooperation and assistance in implementing friendship and people-to-people exchange activities between Vietnam and Brazil, especially in 2024, when the two countries celebrate 35 years of diplomatic relations (May 8, 1989 - May 8, 2024), and 17 years of comprehensive partnership (May 2007 - May 2024).
The Ambassador said that on the basis of the strong friendship between the two peoples, the great potential for cooperation in economics, trade, science and technology, culture, sports and tourism needs to be strongly implemented to create breakthroughs in the coming time.
The Ambassador hopes that Mr. Oliveira and his Brazilian friends will continue to act as a bridge, introducing the Ambassador to leaders and experts who support and promote Brazil - Vietnam relations in the Senate, House of Representatives and government agencies in the capital Brasília; other states, cities, and localities; leading experts in the fields of science, technology and agriculture; and the key focal point of the Association of Importers, Exporters and Trade Promoters in Brazil.
Mr. Oliveira appreciated the Ambassador’s suggestions and assessments, and wished to soon implement the promotion of relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Brazil.
Mr. Oliveira also emphasized that he and Brazilian friends in ABRAVIET will soon arrange meetings of the Ambassador with prestigious figures in all circles to learn and discuss directions and measures to promote cooperative relations between the people of the two countries in the coming time. This will contribute to bringing Vietnam - Brazil bilateral relations into depth, substance and effectiveness, commensurate with the good friendship between the two peoples./.
