Dak Nong province presents donations to overseas Vietnamese and Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province

The donations include more than 5 tons of rice, 200 boxes of instant noodles and a lot of medical equipment, in total worth more than 200 million VND.

This activity not only eased the difficulties and encouraged the spirits of Military Sub-Region of Mondulkiri province and overseas Vietnamese in Mondulkiri province to overcome the pandemic, but also was a gift to show the spirit of solidarity and friendship between the armies of the two countries and the heart of Dak Nong province toward the overseas Vietnamese living and working in Cambodia.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the socio-economic development of both Dak Nong and Mondulkiri provinces and the two countries over the past time. Besides regularly exchanging and grasping the situation to support each other in performing their tasks, the armed forces of the two provinces also actively participate in the frontline of pandemic prevention and control.

Colonel Dinh Hong Tieng, Commander of the Dak Nong Province Military Command, said that from early in the year of 2021 to now, the command has organized 3 times to give gifts to the armed forces and the people of Mondulkiri province. Although the quantity of goods is not much, it is of great significance, contributing to sharing difficulties, cultivating solidarity and building trust, maintaining political security, social order and safety in the border area.

To ensure the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, the award ceremony was held in a simple, concise but dignified manner, clearly showing solidarity and friendship./.
