Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai wished overseas Vietnamese a New Year of health, success and happiness. The Ambassador reviewed Vietnam's outstanding socio-economic development achievements after the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the achievements that the Embassy has made, contributing to promoting the relationship between the two countries, especially high-level exchanges and dialogues, economic cooperation, trade, and tourism.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese community in India is an inseparable part and an important factor contributing to strengthening the Vietnam-India friendship and cooperation.

The Vietnamese community in India is not large, and is scattered in many localities, so the Embassy will strengthen community cohesion, support overseas Vietnamese to integrate into the local society and further develop, while maintaining cultural identity.

The Ambassador hoped that overseas Vietnamese will look toward the homeland and contribute to the development of the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

At the event, the participants enjoyed the Tet atmosphere with yellow apricot and peach blossoms, lanterns and firecrackers. Particularly, traditional Vietnamese dishes on Tet holidays and art programs were also on hand at the event./.
