First Vietnamese painting exhibition held in Mongolia

A painting exhibition has been organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia and Asia Art Link Vietnam at the Mongol Art Gallery in the capital of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as part of activities to mark the 70th anniversary of Vietnam-Mongolia diplomatic ties.

At the exhibition, more than 50 paintings and graphic works by 16 Vietnamese artists from Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to two paintings done by a Mongolian volunteer-artist are displayed.

The exhibition aims to introduce contemporary Vietnamese art scene to Mongolian audiences, helping them to gain greater insights into the beautiful Vietnamese landscapes, culture, and its friendly people.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam said that this is the first time that a painting exhibition depicting Vietnamese art and culture has been held in Ulaanbaatar - the capital of the Mongolia.

He believed that the exhibition will help to further intensify art exchanges between the two countries in the near future.

Painter Trinh Tuan from Asia Art Link Vietnam highlighted the significance of the exhibition. Through the event, it will promote the images, art, culture, and people of Vietnam to the friends around the world as well as promote mutual understanding between the two peoples and cooperation of the two countries.

The exhibition will close on August 2./.
