Hung Kings Commemoration Day marked in Czech Republic

The Phu Tho Fellow-Countrymen Association in the Czech Republic on April 13 solemnly held a ceremony to mark the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and express their gratitude to the Hung Kings.

The ceremony was held in Prague under the sponsorship of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic, the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe and the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic.

The event attracted the participation of a large number of overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic and neighboring countries.

At the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam reiterated the great significance of the Hung Kings Commemoration Day, in which the belief in worshiping the Hung Kings has become a lasting traditional identity, passed down through generations of Vietnamese people, to express the gratitude of descendants to generations of ancestors.

The Ambassador expressed his belief that overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic will continue to promote the nation's fine cultural traditions, increase mutual help, build a developing community, integrate well into the local community and always look towards the homeland.

Participants at the ceremony enjoyed art performances by members of the community.

Hung Kings Commemoration Day takes place annually on the 10th day of the third lunar month, which falls on April 18 this year./.
