Kon Tum presents 2 billion VND to support disadvantaged people in two Cambodian provinces

On the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay Festival in 2024, a delegation of Kon Tum province has presented a gift of 2 billion VND to support disadvantaged people in two provinces of Stung Treng and Ratanakiri, Cambodia.

Speaking at meeting with representatives of Stung Treng and Ratanakiri provinces, Chairman of the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Tuan said that in recent times, the parties have proactively promoted visiting and exchange activities at many levels, attended events on major holidays of each country and strengthened relationships, friendship and comprehensive cooperation, as well as supported and exchanged experiences in promoting socio-economic development, training and social security.

The delegation presented 2 billion VND to support disadvantaged people in Stung Treng and Ratanakiri provinces to celebrate Chol Chnam Thmay Festival.

Mr. Svay Sam-Eang, Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party and Governor of Stung Treng province, and Mr. Nung Nel, Deputy Governor of Ratanakiri province, highly appreciated the friendship and solidarity between the two provinces and Kon Tum province. The leaders of the two provinces expressed their confidence that in the coming time, the friendly relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two provinces will continue to achieve greater results, actively contributing to strengthening and developing the Cambodia - Vietnam traditional friendship, meeting the basic and long-term interests of the people of the two countries in general and the two Cambodian provinces and Kon Tum in particular./.
