Overseas Vietnamese in Thailand contribute to cultivating bilateral relations

An event was held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand on January 30 in Bangkok welcome the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) 2024 with the participation of over 300 representatives of overseas Vietnamese people and students in Thailand.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh reviewed outstanding achievements of the country's economic development over the past year.

He also affirmed that the year 2023 marked many important steps forward in Vietnam-Thailand relations, marking the 10th anniversary of establishing the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the active participation and coordination of the community in all activities of the embassy last year, expressing his hope that overseas Vietnamese in Thailand will continue to join hands to overcome all difficulties and challenges, contributing to promoting the friendly relations between the two countries, and the homeland’s development.

The Vietnamese community in Thailand has grown strongly and played an important role in maintaining and cultivating the friendship relations between the two countries, said the diplomat.

At the event, the participants together enjoyed traditional Vietnamese dishes on Tet, art performances praising the homeland and spring, and played folk games./.
