Pacific Airlines brought home over 340 Vietnamese citizens safely from Taiwan (China) on December 28.

The flight was arranged by Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei (China), Pacific Airlines and relevant agencies of Taiwan (China).

The passenger on the flight included the elderly, the ill, pregnant women and people suffering from occupational accidents, workers with expired labour contracts, students who finished their study and those in extremely difficult circumstances.

The Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei (China) had sent staff to the airport to assist the citizens with check-in procedures before boarding.

During the flight, safety and disease preventive measures were applied to to protect the citizens’ health and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All crew members and passengers were given medical checkups and sent to quarantine in line with regulations right after landing at Da Nang International Airport.

More repatriation flights will be arranged to bring home overseas Vietnamese citizens in difficult situation in the coming time depending on their desires, the COVID-19 pandemic development and domestic quarantine capacity./.
