Urgent relief for Vietnamese origin people isolated in Cambodia

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, the Khmer – Vietnam Association and sponsors, on March 14 provided urgent relief to Vietnamese origin families, who are isolating to prevent COVID-19 pandemic in Prey Veng and Kandal provinces.

Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, Khmer – Vietnam Association and sponsors presented gifts to 219 Vietnamese households in Prek Tamlop commune, Luek Duek district, Kandal province and sent gifts to over 100 households in Prek Sai Kho commune, Peam Ro district, Prey Veng province.

Mr. Chau Van Chi, Chairman of the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia, said that the life of many overseas Vietnamese are in difficult and now they must be isolated so their lives become more difficult. Therefore, right after receiving the information, the Khmer – Vietnam Association, the Vietnamese Embassy and sponsors organized an urgent relief program to them. 

Over the past days, the Khmer – Vietnam Association has provided rice, instant noodle, face mask, antiseptic solution to the overseas Vietnamese, boosting to mobilize them to strictly implement anti-COVID-19 pandemic measures of the government of Cambodia, organizing forces in localities to support the overseas Vietnamese. In addition, the Khmer – Vietnam Association presented 600 medical protective clothing sets to hospitals and health centres of Cambodia./.
