Vietnam Summer Camp helps overseas Vietnamese youth cultivate homeland connection

Vietnam Summer Camp is one of the annual events organized by the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese to help overseas Vietnamese youth learn about the culture, history, customs, and habits of the nation, and participate in charity activities and exchanges between overseas Vietnamese youth and young people and students in localities of Vietnam.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Thai Xuan Dung and the Committee for Community Affairs of the Embassy recently had a meeting with leaders of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic, and parents and children representing the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic participating in the Vietnam Summer Camp 2022.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung mentioned the importance and significance of activities of the Vietnam Summer Camp. This is an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese youth to meet each other and meet young people in Vietnam, exchange in Vietnamese, learn about the history, culture, customs and habits of their homeland, thereby improving their understanding of the country, people and young generation of Vietnam, cultivating feelings for the homeland, evoking activities towards the country. The Ambassador also disseminated the experiences of participating in the summer camp and reminded the children to strictly follow the rules and regulations and actively participate in the activities of the summer camp.

Vietnam Summer Camp is one of the annual events organized by the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese to spread the national tradition, teach about the nation's culture, history, customs, habits and charity activities, and encourage exchange between Vietnamese youth abroad and young people and students in localities of Vietnam.

The Summer Camp for overseas Vietnamese youth and students will take place from July 19 to August 3, 2022 in provinces and cities across the country, in which, Nghe An province will be selected as the place for the opening ceremony of Vietnam Summer Camp 2022 from July 21-24. The program will be attended by more than 100 delegates who are overseas young people and students from all over the world with good achievements in study, labour and many contributions to the movement of community building./.
