Vietnamese community in Germany acts as bridge for bilateral relations

At the meeting, representatives of the overseas Vietnamese community in Germany expressed the aspirations of associations and overseas Vietnamese in establishing a unified organization, representing the majority of overseas Vietnamese in the host country, contributing to strengthening the solidarity of the community, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Vietnamese nation, affirming the prestige and position of the Vietnamese people in particular and the country of Vietnam in general in the trend of integration and mutual development.

Minister Bui Thanh Son acknowledged the enthusiastic opinions of community representatives, and highly appreciated the efforts of the Vietnamese community in Germany and associations over the past time.

He expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Vietnamese community in Germany would continue to make efforts, unite, overcome difficulties and challenges, promote community resources, and contribute to the development of the country and act as a bridge for the strategic partnership and friendship between the two countries.

On this occasion, the Minister also presented many Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese to collectives and individuals who have made great contributions to the prevention and fighting of pandemics, natural disasters and community activities./.
