Recently, Mongolia experienced an extremely harsh winter with icy weather and prolonged drought, causing great damage to people and property.

Thoroughly grasping the Prime Minister's guiding motto in the work of Vietnamese people abroad, as local investors "harmonize benefits, share risks", the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia in coordination with the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Mongolia mobilized overseas Vietnamese in the host country to support the Mongolian people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

At the reception, Director General of Mongolia’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) G.Ariunbuyan expressed his sincere gratitude to the embassy, the Overseas Vietnamese Association and the Vietnamese community in Mongolia for their good feelings, sympathy and sharing to the Mongolian people.

He recalled that in 2021 the Vietnamese Government and the Vietnamese community in Mongolia also supported Mongolian people in many forms against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. G.Ariunbuyan affirmed that this valuable donation would be used meaningfully and for the right purpose, saying that this act of the Vietnamese community in Mongolia is a source of great spiritual encouragement to help the Mongolian people quickly overcome difficult times.

He expressed his hope to implement the specific cooperation contents of the Memorandum of Understanding on natural disaster prevention cooperation signed on July 5, 2018 such as exchanging experiences, training rescue workers, especially in 2024, marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Vietnamese community in Mongolia currently has more than 600 people, mainly working in the auto repair service industry./.
