The meeting aims to respond to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to join hands to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting was attended by representatives of leaders and executive boards of Vietnamese associations in Slovakia.

At the meeting, Ambassador Tuan provided information about the developments of the pandemic in Vietnam, as well as the Government's measures to control the pandemic to achieve the dual goal of both fighting the disease and developing the economy. In which, the COVID-19 vaccine is the top priority in the COVID-19 prevention and control effort, in order to soon return to a normal situation and restore economic development.

To mobilize resources to ensure mass vaccination against COVID-19 for people, on June 5, leaders of the Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front and representatives of the people and business community solemnly organized an event to launch the national COVID-19 vaccine fund, in order to call upon all organizations and individuals at home and abroad to voluntarily contribute and sponsor the fund with the heart and responsibility for each person's health, for the community, and for the nation.

At the meeting, the ambassador called on individuals, associations, unions and businesses in the Vietnamese community in Slovakia to contribute and support the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund. The State and Government of Vietnam appreciate all forms of support from overseas Vietnamese, coming from the heart towards the homeland and the country, contributing to the strength of great national unity, and helping the country soon defeat the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the event, the delegates also contributed many positive ideas for the work of associations and unions; strengthening the executive board of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Slovakia, as well as enthusiastic support for the donation plan to support the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund./.
