A ceremony was held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand on July 11 to receive nearly 1.5 million THB donated by the Vietnamese community in Thailand to Vietnam’s national COVID-19 vaccine fund.

Of the total, 1.469 million THB was donated by the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Thailand, and 10,000 THB by the Vietnamese Students Association in the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh thanked the contributions by Vietnamese people in Thailand, although they have also been hit by the pandemic.
The ambassador affirmed that the donations will be sent to Vietnam as soon as possible.
On this occasion, Ambassador Thanh presented 8,000 USD from Vietnam’s COVID-19 prevention and control fund to Vietnamese people in Thailand hit hard by the pandemic./.
