Vietnamese martial arts loved in Romania

Vietnamese Ambassador to Romania Do Duc Thanh on February 12 attended the competition and award ceremony of the 3rd Spring Cup held by the “Quan Khi Dao” Martial Arts Association under the Romanian Martial Arts Federation.

The competition drew the participation of 210 athletes from 12 clubs.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the competition, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh praised the success “Quan Khi Dao” martial arts achieved in Romania over the past time, wishing that the association would continue to spread the martial arts and martial arts spirit, and contribute to introducing the Vietnamese culture to Romanian friends, especially the younger generation.

In 1981, Master Pham Xuan Tong founded the "Quan chi dao international group" in France, which is mixed martial arts of Vietnamese martial arts (Bac Ninh, Quang Binh) and Kung Fu techniques (China).

“Quan Khi Dao” is now present in 24 countries around the world in four continents, and it is most developed in Africa and Europe. Since 1990, Quan Khi Dao martial arts have become a member of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts Federation.

In Romania, the first Quan Khi Dao Club was established in 1992. Currently, there are about 2,000 students of all ages from 40 clubs in six big cities and under “Quan Khi Dao” Martial Arts Association of the Romanian Martial Arts Federation./.
