With a warm, inspiring voice and fluent Russian pronunciation, Lam won over the judging panel with a high score at the contest by reciting a poem on Yekaterinburg city by author Zaitova Anastasia. His presentation left positive impressions on both Russian and international friends at the contest.

Accordingly, Lam was also honoured with the Certificate of Merit and the Yekaterinburg city's insignia for his presentation. First prize went to student Fidel Depar of Peru, while a group of students from Zimbabwe clinched second prize.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Sergey Tushin, Vice Rector in charge of international relations of UrFU, said that the event has helped to promote the image of Yekaterinburg city among international friends./.
