After the congress to establish the Vietnamese Women's Union in Europe on September 9, 2023 in the Czech Republic capital Prague, this is the first event of great significance and large scale, affirming the solidarity as well as the development of Vietnamese women in particular and the Vietnamese community in general in Europe.

Ms. Nguyen Viet Trieu, President of the Vietnamese Women's Union in Europe, said that for the first time women's unions have united, developed and established the Vietnamese Women's Unions in Europe. With perseverance, enthusiasm and national pride, Vietnamese women are contributing to preserving national culture, traditions and values, bringing Vietnam closer to the world.

On this occasion, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Huong Nam said that the establishment of the Vietnamese Women's Union in Europe marked an important development step in the women's movement across Europe.

He congratulated Ms. Nguyen Viet Trieu as well as the Vietnamese Women's Union in Europe for gathering together many associations to participate in a "common house" in Europe with one common purpose of solidarity for development.

In addition to the unique art performances from women's unions in 11 European countries, the highlight of the event was the painting auction to raise money for the “Pink Heart” fund to support disadvantaged children in Vietnam.

At the event, the fund raised over 10,000 EUR to help Vietnamese children in the homeland./.
