Leaders of the Siheung City Council and VKBIA and representatives of Lam Dong province

At the working session held on April 29, Mr. Park Chun-Ho, Chairman of the Autonomous Administration Committee of Siheung City Council, shared that Siheung city has a population of about 580,000 people, with more than 18,000 enterprises and high-tech industrial parks.
He said that Siheung city now not only prioritizes industrial development but also focuses on developing tourism, education and human resources.
Among more than 30,000 foreigners residing, living, working and studying in the city, the Vietnamese community is increasingly growing.
He said Siheung city is always interested in cooperating with Vietnamese localities as well as promoting and supporting businesses in the city to cooperate with Vietnam.
On behalf of the City Council, he expressed his thanks to VKBIA Chairman Tran Hai Linh and his colleagues who have always accompanied the city's activities during the past time, including supporting the Industrial Development Agency of Siheung city and businesses to visit, work and learn about cooperation opportunities in Vietnam.
He, parliamentarians and City Council members discussed and worked with representatives of Lam Dong province on plans to promote development and deeper and stronger cooperation in many fields between localities of the two countries.
In the afternoon of April 29, at the Office of Anyang City Hall, Mr. Choi Dae-ho, Mayor of Anyang city, and leaders of agencies in charge of economics, administration, culture, education and tourism, had a working session with the delegation.
At the meeting, the Mayor said that Anyang is one of the 20 largest cities of RoK.
At the end of 2023, the Korean government certified the city as a Smart City, because of its achievements in applying high technology in operation and development.
The Mayor of Anyang city emphasized cooperation and development with Vietnam’s similar localities, pointing out the potential for cooperation and companionship with Lam Dong province, and suggested that VKBIA President Tran Hai Linh and his colleagues continue to promote cooperation between the city and Vietnamese localities, agencies and organizations.
He respectfully invited the delegation to visit the Anyang Smart City Operation Complex Center - the city's latest achievement.
Through the working sessions, Mr. Tran Hai Linh, member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, VKBIA President, expressed his thanks to the leaders of Siheung City Council and the Mayor of Anyang city for always caring for and supporting the Vietnamese community here, and affirmed that they will continue to accompany the two cities in the following activities.
He said that the VKBIA acts as a bridge of economics, trade, tourism, culture and education, enhancing the effectiveness of activities between localities and businesses of the two countries.
On this occasion, the VKBIA and the delegation of Lam Dong province visited and worked at the Anyang City Industry Promotion Agency, gathering over 7,200 high-tech industrial enterprises and manufacturing enterprises, bringing domestic and export value of tens of billions of dollars to this city each year.
The parties witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between Lam Dong province and the VKBIA to promote cooperation in trade, investment and tourism, enhancing exchanges and cooperation./.
