Hai Ha district sees USD53 million in import-export turnover

In the first half of the year, Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province achieved nearly USD53 million in total import-export turnover, 153% compared to the same period last year, of which import-export taxes collected were estimated at VND15 billion, 144% compared to the same period last year, Quang Ninh Television reported.

Goods traded through Hai Ha district’s Bac Phong Sinh border gate are mainly goods of high economic value, including sugpo prawn and frozen tra fish.

To promote border gate areas, Hai Ha district will continue to invest in building infrastructure, deal with border trading issues, and work with authorised agencies to create favourable conditions for import export activities, including simplifying administrative procedures, shortening the length of foreign trade time, reducing fees for enterprises, and holding direct talks with enterprises to tackle their difficulties, to encourage them to increase import export activities in the district./.
