(CPV) - The Co To Port Management Board, which is responsible for power management in the central area of Co To island district, has just issued an official dispatch requiring agencies, units, tourism and service businesses and people on Co To island district to save electricity.
According to statistics, the number of air-conditioners has increased sharply, up to 282 units, which consume about 226KW. Meanwhile, Co To island has just two power stations with a capacity of 555KW. Therefore, power for lighting and the people's daily needs is not ensured.
Therefore, the management board calls upon units, service businesses, restaurants and hotels to apply measures to save electricity and restrict the use of high-capacity power equipment.
