Quang Ninh Red Cross collects over 2,800 blood units in first six months

The Quang Ninh provincial Red Cross Association announced that in the first six months of 2013, it has deployed 25 voluntary blood donation programs, collecting over 2,800 blood units.

Accordingly, sub-associations in districts, towns and cities have concentrated to deploy voluntary blood donation programs in response to the 2013 “Pink spring” festival, “All people volunteer to donate blood” on April 7, and the 2013 “Pink summer” festival.

As many as around 5,800 people have actively attended, and nearly 3,900 have registered for blood donation. Especially, the Uong Bi city Red Cross Association contributed 868 blood units, Dong Trieu district collected 585 units and Ha Long city received 423 units./.
