Over VND200 billion to light up Co To island

As of late June, Quang Ninh province has collected over VND200 billion for the project to bring power to Co To island. The figure was released during a recently held ceremony to receive and pay tribute to agencies, organizations and individuals who had great contributions to the project.

In addition, the project received VND300 billion in support from the central budget and VND130 billion in investment from the Northern Power Corporation (NPC).
The project to bring power to Co To Island is a large-scale one, with infrastructure covering a distance of nearly 100 kilometres and having capital of over VND1.1 trillion.
It is expected to be completed in mid-October, playing a very important role in political, national defence and security factors.
A launching ceremony will be held in Hanoi to call on people across the country to support the project./.
