Over 4.6 million tourists visit Quang Ninh in first six months

Vietnam’s northern province of Quang Ninh greeted more than 4.6 million tourist arrivals in the first six months this year, a year-on-year rise of 9 percent, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Of these, foreign tourists accounted for more than 1.25 million, a decrease of 2 percent against the same period last year.
With the total tourist arrivals since early this year, the province earned a tourism turnover of VND2.5 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 14 percent.
The Van Don ditstrict People’s Committee reported that it welcomed 287,000 tourist arrivals during the Jan-June period, up 5 percent against one year previous. Tourism turnover reached VND150 billion./.
