2013 national wushu championship: Quang Ninh pockets 16 medals

(CPV) - The 2013 national wushu championship is being held from July 15-22 at Thai Binh provincial Sports Competition Gymnasium.
It is co-organized by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Thai Binh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This is a good chance for young athletes from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, the Military and the Public Security teams to practice and gain more experience for coming sports festivals, as well as seeking new faces for the national wushu squad.

The event sees the participation of 408 female and male artists from 29 cities and provinces throughout the nation, in which the Hanoi delegation is the biggest, with nearly 100 athletes.
Artists are competing for 90 medal categories in Taolu (54 categories) and Sanshou (36 categories) events. Athletes will compete in 36 weight divisions in the 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 groups of the Sanshou event.
Members of the Quang Ninh delegation come from provincial sports and physical training and competition centre, and Quang Ninh sports and physical training school.
So far, artists from the coal region have pocketed 16 medals, including two golds, seven silvers and seven bronzes./.
