Quang Ninh provincial leader receives Thailand’s province chief

On March 6, Nguyen Van Doc, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, met with chief of Thailand’s Udon Thani province, Seni Chittakasem, in Ha Long City.

During the reception, Mr. Doc welcomed Mr. Seni Chittakasem and his delegation on their working visit to Quang Ninh province, saying the visit would contribute to promoting the cooperative relations between the two sides.

He gave the delegation a brief description of the provincial socio-economic development as well as opportunities and development strategies in the upcoming time, especially the advantages involving the cultural and natural conditions to develop the tourism sector, including the world natural heritage Ha Long Bay.

Mr. Doc expressed his hope that Udon Thani province and Quang Ninh province would agree to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in tourism, and promotion of the two provinces to international friends.

He suggested that the two sides should introduce travel delegations, send visitors to local scenic spots in the two provinces, send delegations to exchange experience in tourism development and enhance tourism promotion.

Thanking the province for the warm reception, Mr. Seni Chittakasem showed his happiness with strong development of the province in diverse areas. He said he hoped the two sides would further increase their cooperation in tourism, cultural and social development, and invited Mr. Doc to visit Udon Thani in the near future./.
