Quang Ninh provincial leader receives German Parliament's Vice President

During the reception, Mr. Doc showed his happiness with the developing and efficient strategic relationship Germany has with Vietnam in general and between Quang Ninh province in particular in all areas, especially in healthcare, education and environmental protection. He also praised Germany’s assistance in Quang Ninh province’s project on environmental upgrades in coal mines.

According to the provincial People’s Committee Chairman, Quang Ninh province was focusing on industrial and tourism development; however, environmental protection was top of the province’s targets. Therefore, he said he hoped that besides waste water, tourism development, healthcare and education cooperation, Germany would assist the province in protecting the environment.

For her part, Ms Edelgard Bulmahn expressed her happiness at visiting Quang Ninh province home of Ha Long bay, one of the world's natural heritage sites..

She said she was glad with the efficient cooperation between Vietnam and Germany in environmental protection in old coal mines in Quang Ninh province.

She affirmed that with its experience, Germany would be willing to share experiences with and support Vietnam in general, especially in environmental protection and tourism development./.
