Power project inaugurated for island communes

The Quang Ninh provincial electricity company has inaugurated a project to provide electricity for five island communes in Van Don district.

Under the project which is worth VND312 billion, 43 kilometres of electricity cable and 9 transformer stations will be built in Quan Lan and Minh Chau communes; 41 kilometres of electricity cable and five transformer stations will be built in Thang Loi and Ngoc Vung communes; 41 kilometres of electricity line, and 6 transformer stations will be built in Ban Sen commune.

The project is expected to be completed before the 2015 lunar New Year. It plays an important role in socio-economic development and defence and security in maintaining the communes./.
