Quang Ninh province makes progress in vocational training for rural labourers

According to the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, from 2010 to 2013, the province gave vocational training to over 16,000 rural labourers, with over 2,500 of them changing their jobs into non-agricultural sectors after being trained.

The vocational training has helped to increase the number of trained labourers from 33% in 2005 to 51% in 2011 and 58.9% at present.

It has also contributed in attracting greater number of labourers to the industrial and service sectors (58.09%), while the rest are working in the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors.

The vocational training is considered an important solution to satisfy the demand for human resources for the development of the province, contributing to successfully turning the province into a modern industrial province by 2015./.
