Quang Ninh plays at 2014 U10 National Football Tournament - Viettel Cup

Viettel Cup was officially kicked off on June 2 in Da Nang city with 500 footballers in 36 teams from localities nationwide to compete in nine groups to win a place in the 16-team final round.

The qualifying round will be played on artificial pitches. At the final round (played on an indoor court), four groups will play in a round table format to select the four best teams for the final games.

The Quang Ninh team sent 12 players to the event, all of whom come from Quang Ninh province Sports and Physical Training Unit. They were selected as the best athletes at the Quang Ninh junior football tour last April.

According to the organizing board, Nhi Dong newspaper and Viettel Football Training Centre, the champion will receive a Cup and VND30 million in cash, the runner-up will receive medal and VND20 million, while the two third teams will get medals and VND10 million each.

The event, ending on June 9, is a good chance for the young players to join a football festival and show their talent, as well as finding talents for provincial and city football training centers./.
