Drug prevention and fight action month in Quang Ninh province

Quang Ninh province has kicked off the drug prevention and fight action month under decision 2926/KH-UBND of the provincial People’s Committee.

This year’s action month will be held from June 1-30.

Relevant agencies and local authorities directed strict implementation of all instructions for the fight against crime and drugs, focusing mainly on information dissemination campaigns. The initiative is concerned with legally controlled activities relating to drugs, as well as pre- and post- detoxification matters.

The People’s Committee also urged relevant units and authorities to issue action plans and follow high level instructions effectively and promptly. Reports are required by the People’s Committee before July 7.

This action month shows the determination at political levels of the province to fight against illicit drugs, ensuring social order, creating a fresh environment for socio-economic development, improving the awareness of all social classes in the fight against drugs, as well as contributing to the implementation of policies of the Party and State in this area./.
