5.5kg of crystal-meth seized in Quang Ninh

The Quang Ninh Police on September 25 reported that 5.5kg of crystal-methamphetamine (crystal meth), worth VND10 billion, had been seized.

Earlier, at about 12pm of September 24, in Cong Hoa commune, Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh province, the Police Department for Investigation of Drug-Related Crimes under the Quang Ninh Police and the High Command of Vietnam Coast Guard, caught “red-handed” Nguyen Thi Ha, born in 1970, residing in Ho Nam ward, Le Chan district, Hai PHong city for illegally transporting 5.5 kilograms of crystal meth.

Through investigation, Ha confessed that she was hired to transport the drugs to Hai Phong by a person in Quang Duc commune, Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province with payment of VND30 million.

The case is under further investigation./.
