Quang Ninh’s export turnover hits over USD1.1 billion

The northern province of Quang Ninh’s total commodity export value reached USD1.13 billion in the first nine months this year, 55.6% of the year’s plan or 93.3% of the same period last year, reported the Quang Ninh Television.

Some commodities witnessing export increases compared to the same period last year were seafood (31.1%), clothes (89.3%), brick (144%), tile (150%) and cement (213%).

Meanwhile, import turnover of businesses in the province reached an estimated USD1.16 million, exceeding 0.8% of the year’s plan. Temporary import, re-export and commodity value through warehouses were estimated at USD2.3 million over the past nine months, 67.1% of the year’s plan and 92% of the same period last year.

During Jan-Sep 20 14, Quang Ninh licensed and added capital to 42 projects with a total capital of VND20.2 trillion, a year-on-year rise of 62.3%

Projects with large investment capital were Ha Long Ocean Park (VND6 trillion), Quang Hanh high-end hot mineral resort (VND3.5 trillion), Ha Long Vincom Centre (VND1.07 trillion) and a five-star hotel (VND1.13 trillion)./.
