Cai Lan deep-seaport welcomed first customer from railway services

The one member company limited Cai Lan seaport on October 26 welcomed its first customer in railway services on the Yen Vien – Pha Lai – Ha Long – Cai Lan route.
This adaptation to service provision, sourcing rail cargo when road cargo routes are overloaded causing significant delays in scheduling, has provided is a very positive indicator to the cargo facility.
The first cargo railway service ran from Kep – Luu Xa from Thai Nguyen province, carrying 470 tonnes of U-shape steel products produced by Thai Nguyen iron and steel JSC to a wholesale trader in Cam Pha city. It is part of the total 10,000 tonnes of steel to be transported to Cai Lan port through the Yen Vien – Pha Lai – Ha Long – Cai Lan route.
According to a representative from Cai Lan deep-seaport, the railway cargo service plays an important role, thus diversifying models of transportation, and accelerating trade activities between provinces/cities via the seaport – one of the vital gates crucial to the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh triangular economic corridor./.
