Quang Ninh joins Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program 2014

Nguyen Van Binh from the Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union will represent the Quang Ninh youth to participate in the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) 2014, from October 29 to December 17.

This activity is conducted within a framework of a cooperation program between the government of Vietnam and Japan and is organized by the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The program, attended by 29 Vietnamese young people and representatives from Japan, Indonesia, Cambodia, Brunei and Myanmar, aims to enhance the friendship and mutual understanding among young people from Japan and Southeast Asian countries. They will have opportunities to expand vision to the world as well as to promote creativeness in youth activities and international exchanges through activities on board of the ship.

Attending the program, participants will take part in group discussions about themes concerned by young people in the region such as organizing exchange activities, organizing clubs to introduce culture, special activities of countries, organizing "National Day" including exhibitions and art performances to introduce manners and customs, country and people and socio-economic development achievements of each country. In countries the ship will stop, the delegates will exchange with local youth and visit offices and factories.

Criteria of delegates joining the program are that they are Vietnamese citizens aged between 18-30, to be able to speak English fluently, have a diverse knowledge base and are able to introduce the country and people of Vietnam, economic, political, cultural and social achievements of Vietnam, Vietnamese youth as well as movements and activities of young Vietnamese people./.
