Prize giving for Ha Long Bay souvenir competition

The Ha Long Bay Management Board recently held the awards ceremony for the contest on creating souvenirs on Ha Long Bay.

The contest was launched by the Ha Long Bay Management Board on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Ha Long Bay's recognition as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, in order to select meaningful souvenirs to serve the management, conservation and promotion of the value of Ha Long Bay as well as enrich gifts to serve visitors.

Four months after the launch the organizing board had received 40 products from 17 organizations and individuals. The organizing board presented two second prizes (without first prize) for a gemstone painting named "Ha Long landscape" by Do Van Bi and "Ha Long souvenir" by Nguyen Tung Lam and two third prizes to “Coming to Ha Long” by Le Quang Cuong and "symbol of Ha Long" by Nghiem Vinh. These are beautiful works that represent specificity, attraction and highlighted advantages of the bay./.
