Over 21,000 tourists visit Mong Cai city

Mong Cai city in the northern province of Quang Ninh greeted over 21,000 tourist arrivals in May 2015, a year-on-year rise of 37.2%, according to the latest statistics of the city.

Meanwhile, tourist arrivals coming across the Mong Cai border gate during the month reached over 104,000, up about 145% compared to the same period last year.

Currently, Mong Cai continues to intensify promotion activities and focuses on solutions to encourage travel demand. In addition, the city launched Tran Phu pedestrian streets, introduced and provided more tourism products such as white-leg shrimp, Tra Co crab and Mong Cai pork.

Specifically, from July 1^st, exiting and entering via the Mong Cai border gate and China’s Dong Hung border gate will be extended from 7:00 to 20:00 (local time), thus creating more favour for tourists./.
