Additionally, the city will streamline the route network to increase connectivity in transfering passengers between buses and the urban railway of Cat Linh - Ha Dong and Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station, after being put into operation.

Along with that, the city will organize bus routes with small capacity suitable for narrow roads and streets to increase passengers' access to buses; continue to expand service areas to suburban areas and centers that have demand such as new urban areas, commercial centers, entertainment areas and industrial parks; and to develop more adjacent bus routes to reduce private transport from neighboring localities to the city.

According to statistics by the Hanoi Department of Transport, it is expected that the number of buses in the capital area in 2021 will reach from 2,720 to 2,900, of which the proportion of vehicles using clean energy will reach at least 5-10%./.
