The central highlands province of Lam Dong expects to earn more than VND11.7 trillion from tourism activities in 2018, a 10.2% rise over a year earlier, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

This year, tourist arrivals to Lam Dong are estimated at 6.5 million, a 10.3% rise over a year earlier or 100.1% of the year’s plan; in which foreigners number 485,000, a 21.3% increase or 101% of the year’s plan.
Over the past few years, tourism businesses in the locality focused on developing specific tourism products such as adventure tourism, agricultural tourism, homestay models and coffee, with new strange architecture which made strong impressions to tourists.
So far, Lam Dong has had 1,399 accommodation establishments, a year-on-year rise of 12.4% with 20,994 rooms. Of this, 426 are one to five-star hotels with 11,256 rooms, including 30 luxury hotels with 3,099 rooms.
Currently, the province has 67 travel companies, including 24 ones offering outbound tours. In addition, it has 35 tourist sites and 60 other sites which provide free entrance, including natural attractions, architectural works, religious establishments, traditional villages and local ethnic villages; creating diversity and abundance to build tours and tourist routes./.
