Overall plan for Ba Che’s socio-economic development launched

Ba Che in the northern province of Quang Ninh has announced overall plan for socio-economic development in the district until 2020, with an orientation to 2030.

The overall plan aims at exploiting the potential and advantages of the district to target rapid and sustainable economic development. Ba Che is planned to be the leader in Quang Ninh’s economic and forestry development with the economic structure to be shifted towards industry, agriculture-forestry and services in combination with improving the quality of people’s lives and rapid and sustainable poverty reduction.
The plan set specific criteria such as annual economic growth at 12% during the 2013-2020 period, 12.2% between 2021 and 2030. Value added per capita will reach USD3,000 in 2020 and USD8,000 in 2030.
Poverty rate will be reduced to less than 5% by 2020, 70% of the population in rural areas will be supplied with fresh water under the Ministry of Health’s standard until 2020 and all communes will meet new rural area standard./.
