Argentina to open first leather factory in Vietnam

According to the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam, the opening ceremony of a leather factory named "Serendipity Bros" with 100% investment from Argentina worth more than USD300,000 will take place on May 31 in Binh Duong province. The factory has a total area of 4,118 m2, with a capacity of 600,000 square feet per month, equivalent to a turnover of USD1 million per month.

Serendipity Bros will import leather from Argentina to Vietnam before it will process and perfect products according to the requirements of each brand, creating added value using 100% Vietnamese workers. The construction of the leather factory in Binh Duong also aims to meet the production needs of export products and especially, the delivery time is faster than importing from Argentina due to geographical distance.

As part of the official activities held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between Argentina and Vietnam, on May 30, there will be an event to introduce the product container of dulce de leche (milk caramel) originating from Argentina docked in Vietnam for the first time. It is a typical product of Argentine culture and was recognized by the Argentine Ministry of Culture in 2002 as "Argentine's Culinary Cultural Heritage". It is an Argentinian favorite and the main dairy product consumed in many countries around the world.

According to the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam, the arrival of the first container of dulce de leche product at a Vietnamese port is of great significance in promoting this product in Vietnam because it is not only a symbolic product of Argentine culture. but also the first time this product is exported to Southeast Asia./.
