Opinions at the conference unanimously assessed that over the past 10 years, Directive 40 has contributed to sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security, further strengthening socio-economic development in Bac Ninh.
So far, the locality has had 16 policy credit programs and locally authorized programs. Every year, Bac Ninh’s budget includes 100 billion VND entrusted to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to lend to poor households and policy beneficiaries.

Since the beginning of 2014, total loan turnover has reached 11,867 billion VND, with nearly 575,521 poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries accessing capital.
Of which, outstanding loan balance entrusted through socio-political organizations reached 3,829 billion VND, an increase of 2,128 billion VND compared to 2014. In the 10 years, social policy credit activities have helped 98,119 households escape poverty.
Aiming to improve the effectiveness of social policy credit in Bac Ninh, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Party Committee, requested relevant levels and branches to continue to pay attention to increasing capital sources from the local budget to supplement loans to social policy beneficiaries in the area.

Along with that, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels perform the function of community supervision of policy credit activities, fully and effectively implementing the work contents assigned by the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.
On this occasion, many groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive 40 were honored by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and the General Director of Vietnam Bank for Social Polices./.
