Hanoi promotes investment and trade with Lao capital

(CPV) - The Hanoi People’s Committee has just issued Plan 207 organizing an investment and trade promotion conference, themed “Hanoi-Vientiane, Cooperation for Mutual Development”, and a photo exhibition space displaying and introducing products of the two capitals.

The move is part of activities held to mark the Vietnam – Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022 and help strengthen exchanges and further tighten the relationship between the two parties, two countries, and two peoples.
Accordingly, the Investment and Trade Promotion Conference will be held August 10, at Melia Hotel, Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hoan Kiem District. The event will be attended by leaders of Hanoi, representatives of departments, about 60 Hanoi enterprises, representatives of Vientiane and Lao enterprises.
The photo exhibition space will be held from August 10 to 12 with photos about the capital Vientiane and typical products of the two capitals on display.
The City People’s Committee assigned the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center to coordinate and work with relevant departments and agencies to implement the activities of the two events.
In addition to showing the importance of the special friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, as well as the traditional friendship between Hanoi and Vientiane, the events also aim to seek opportunities for cooperation, investment and commercial development between the two cities./.
