Reader's Digest Canadian version ranks Ha Long bay on a list of 10 destinations in Southeast Asia that visitors must see before dying.

The bay has more than 2,000 large and small limestone islands. The islands protrude above the green water and are covered with lush vegetation. Visitors should experience yachting and passing among the limestone islands, and explore the bay in one or more days. The cruise packages include activities to visit the islands and caves, with opportunities for climbing, kayaking, and more.
Visitors should not come here during the monsoon season, from June to September and from January to March. Another experience you can choose is to take a boat to the remote islands with less tourists to explore nature.
The magazine also suggested Luang Prabang (Laos), Angkor (Cambodia), Krabi (Thailand), Bali, Kinabalu, Penang and Bromo - Tengger - Semeru (Malaysia), Bagan (Myanmar) and Ifugao (the Philippines)./.
