Northern province’s city assists power project for island district with over VND2.3 billion

So far, organizations, enterprises, individuals and sponsors in Cam Pha city, the northern province of Quang Ninh, have donated over VND2.3 billion to the project to bring power to Co To island district.

Of which over VND650 million has come from enterprises, VND1.6 billion from families and over VND67 million from communal and ward People’s Committees.

The donation drive has been carried out to realise the province’s and steering committee guideline on the project.

The city is attempting continued support for the project in the upcoming time.

The project, inaugurated in November 2012 with a total capital of over VND1 trillion, is expected to be completed by mid-October to welcome the 50^th celebration of the founding of the province. The island plays a very important role in socio-economic, security and defence affairs of the northeastern sea route of the country./.
